Kendallville RDC considers support


A meeting of the Kendallville Redevelopment Commission (RDC) on June 27 included discussion about possibly increasing the City of Kendallville's façade grant matching dollars program, as well as introducing some design standards that could be attached to grant dollars.


These ideas are among several the RDC is considering as possible ways to invest tax increment finance (TIF) district fund collected back into the City. The Commission is interested in the possibility of providing financial support for interior building renovations on Main Street, funding an electronic billboard and/or welcome signs, and assisting Experience the Heart of Kendallville with official Main Street™ activities and initiatives.
