The community rose to the challenge in 2022 and, together, we secured

$2M to restore, preserve, and revitalize Historic Downtown Kendallville!

We can only execute on the mission of Historic Downtown Kendallville with the community's support. Your gift helps us build capacity and ensures the long-term sustainability of Historic Downtown Kendallville. Gifts are tax deductible! 

Since 2021, the city's Main Street organization has:

  • Been featured on HGTV’s “Hometown”

  • Partnered with the city on installation of new Pocket Park

  • Been designated as a PreservINg Main Street Community ($2M grant)

  • Become a stand-alone 501c3 non-profit with a full-time director

  • Established Historic Preservation District and Commission

  • Created a Heritage Trail to honor historically significant people and buildings

  • Leveraged $300,000 in funding to stretch the PreservINg Main Street grant to more property owners

  • Secured $55,000 in grants to establish a business incubator in downtown Kendallville (in partnership with the Noble County EDC)

  • Partnered with Be Noble Inc. (EDC) to attract investors for 2nd floor housing projects

  • Rebranded to Historic Downtown Kendallville

  • Logged 0ver 2,300 in volunteer hours

  • Hosted 10 family-friendly events, attracting thousands of visitors and consumers to downtown

  • Leveraged $8,500 in funding for new Edison lights recently installed downtown
