Halloween Lantern Parade

Coming up:

Oct. 28, 2022

New in 2022! A paper lantern parade will highlight the Halloween season on Main Street.

Parade: Friday, October 28 at dusk (around 7:00 PM)
Lineup: Community Learning Center, 401 E Diamond St., Kendallville
Route: North on Riley, west on Mitchell, south on Main, west on Rush

This community light parade will come alive as individuals, families, and other groups participate in costume. Come up with your own themed entry and show off your creativity! We want to see feather boas, superheroes, funky hats, ghosts and goblins, and lights - LOTS OF LIGHTS! Anything goes (but keep it family friendly for all ages, please).

Download our Lantern Making Guide for how-to instructions to create a variety of lanterns including box, paper, bottle, bamboo, balloon, and umbrella designs plus theme parade entry ideas and links to inspire!

NOTE: We are seeking 15-20 volunteers to walk in the parade. We can provide lighted balloons, costumes, and other items for volunteers to use. If interested, please contact us at kendallvillemainstreet@gmail.com.
